Dear colleagues,

A nurse in my area came with the following case.

A mother told her on a postnatal visit (two weeks old baby) that 3 to 4
hours after supplementing the baby with Vit D the baby was fussy. The mother
first used vit D based on oil, but using Vit D in water gave the same
fussyness. She also changed the time of supllementing, but then after 3 to 4
hours the baby is fussy.

Baby is growing well.

I searched on LACTNET, but could not find info.
I also searched the archives of this list.

Anybody an idea?

I read on Lactnet that Vit D3 is made out of lanoline.

Yesterday I got a mail from another IBCLC who is counselling a mother who
told her that her baby is fussy after taking VitK and VitD drops. She told
the mother to give them separated to find out which one is causing troubles.

Thanks in advance.
