After recently going to rooming in, our hospital is trying to have the Pediatricians see the babies in the room instead of doing their assesments in the nursery.  Does anyone have a reference from the AAP or other source to support Dr assessments of well babes in the room?  It makes complete sense to see the baby and mom together but for some reason the Drs need proof.
