I saw this once on a mom who started using lansinoh for nipple soreness after she had a period of painfree nursing. I don't know what caused the soreness to begin, but suspect that it was clamping from the baby trying to deal with her over-active MER. We corrected her postiton and stopped using the lansinoh and the vesciles disappeared. I have always wondered whether it was a reaction to the lansinoh, or if the lansinoh caused the baby to have a harder time hanging on to the nipple and areola so that the baby was applying greater pressure, thereby causing the vesicles. Anyhow, you might ask her if she is using any kind of lanolin product.
