It's not clear in this thread - is this for cleaning each mother's own 
personal pumping kit for her own further use?  Or are pumps sterilized and 
then any mother can use?

Do you have Medela's Quick Clean Micros Steam bags? They are inexpensive and
can be reused MANY times. The only parts that need to be sterilized for
hospital use are the ones that touch mother and her milk: the flange,
connector, 2-part valve and container. This should simplify things for you.
It takes 2 minutes and 2 oz. of tap water in the microwave. Pieces should 
all
be separated during the process.
