I also have the original poster which I bought in Nicaragua in 1985. I agree, this painting is flat and grim compared to the photograph. I gave a copy to the Women's Law Project at my law school and there was some who objected to the image because of the combination of gun and breastfeeding baby. It always seemed so clear to me she was protecting the baby and I still love my copy of the poster. I don't have the image in any other form and I don't know who owns it. I have seen in used on websites for other Latin American countries.
