Hi there. I am hoping that someone can help answer a question for me. I have been approached to consult with a hospital for lactation services and one thing I would like to determine is how most hospitals bill for lactation services.  Are they billed as part of the original maternity care or some kind of postpartum care? I have done research on billing through a peds office, but not able to find the standard protocol for hospitals.  I don't find the AAP coding page to be incredibly useful in this area and thought maybe someone who is successfully getting their service reimbursed to the hospital can help.
