Isn't there a recent recommendation by some group to try and decrease the
amount of Csections? I am behind in my reading.

This figure is common in tertiary care facilities who get more high risk
moms here in NE US. However, it is not to say that the Csec rate is supposed
to be that high, nor is it good for all the mothers who are facing this
surgery to be doing so when they may not have to be having the surgery, as
opposed to a vaginal birth. I think we are losing track of birth in our
country, and that it is becoming a series of interventions that serious
impacts the health of mothers and babies, both mental and physical.

Where are we going with all this?

Kathleen Bruce, somewhat quiet listmother, speaking up..today. : )
