Julie sounds like a lot of factors affecting this Breast Feeding relationship, and the poor Mum has tried a lot of stuff, so although I would be reluctant to keep adding things she needs to do, I would reccomend a CranioSacral therapy or Acupuncture session with a qualified practitioner. This Baby has been through a lot and probably has a lot of tension and stress stored in the Body which does contribute to poor digestion, slowed motility, reflux, etc. Think about how you have felt after trying to eat in a moment when you are really stressed out, usually comes up in the form of reflux or burping. It also sounds like Mom had Oversupply from very early on , did anyone recc in addition to block feeding, manually expressing a little until let down is less powerful then putting baby to the Breast, or laid back Breast Feeding positon or sitting up on the Mom's lap? Regarding Gluten? Who knows so difficult this whole Allergy thing, some infants seem to be allergic to every food known to man. And who knows the role that GMO foods will play in the future on both fetal development and later allergies and tolerance problems. Lisa Mooney
