You could have mom try using a sling or even wrap (I helped a mom today
with this for her reluctant nurser) and position baby upright and somewhat
below the breast. It would be hands free, just make sure the sling/wrap is
secure, going from just below baby's neck to upper thighs--baby just "sits"
then in the carrier. I would think the wrap may work better for a mom who
has no arms to use and distribute older baby's weight more comfortably from
both her shoulders. Prone positioning with mom on bed (older baby can
kneel next to her side) or even mom on floor with her breasts exposed and again
baby either draped across her or kneeling next to her could work, too.
