Did mom experience any breast changes during pregnancy? Any signs of Lactogenesis II?

Subject: maternal prematurity decreased milk production

I am working with a mother of a full term baby who is struggling to make enough milk who was herself born at 33 weeks gestation. My question which I couldn't find answered in the archives but maybe I posed it wrong, is this: Is there link between maternal premature birth and decreased milk supply? I was wondering if the decreased exposure to placental hormones can lead to a diminished development of breast tissue. Is this in the literature anywhere?
