Subject: Lactation before delivery
Hi Lactnetters all over the world
I have permission to post. A mom who breastfed her 1st baby is now 37 wks with baby no 2. She has had colostrum for a few weeks already but now is leaking milk +++She is due for an elective Caesarean section scheduled at 38 weeks. Will this milk revert to colostrum for the baby once the placenta is out or will the new baby miss out on it?
Hope someone out there has experience with this.
Thanks Lynda Lilienfeld RN. RM. IBCLC
