The original research is dissected in this blog here:

http://analyticalarmadillo.blogspot.com/2010/07/give-cows-milk-to-newborns-youre-having.html

(I don't know who the author of this blog is - it's not me, anyway!)

This author finds:

* flawed diagnosis of allergy, and only one (rarer) type of allergy
discussed anyway.

* lowest risk of allergy was seen in older babies - those exposed to
CMP *after* 6-7 mths (surprise, surprise....).

But the research team decided not to publicise this, and instead make
the truly astonishing recommendation that babies under 2 weeks should
be given formula, in order to reduce the risk of a condition that was
very rare even in their large study.
