Dear Lactnet Friends:
Here on this list, we are aware that research is about populations, not
about individuals.
We all know someone that lived happily to be 100, smoking cigarettes,
drinking too much alcohol, and eating poorly. That doesn't change the
recommendation to avoid those things for best health.
We also know that a challenge for us is that most of the world believes that
formula is as good as human milk. We are all working hard to shift that
deadly belief in the face of a wealthy and unscrupulous competitor.
Change is painful. Words must be spoken, tears shed, and options offered.
How to do this with an open heart, in the face of truth?
warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, BSN, Mother of 2, MS, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI, ANLC
