I'm just (finally) in the process of winding up the data collection on my
study of "older" adoptive breastfeeding. This study is looking at the
experiences of mothers who have attempted to breastfeed their child who was
4 months of age or older at placement/adoption. I am interested in cases
where children ended up breastfeeding as well as cases where the child did
not end up suckling at the breast. In fact I am particularly looking for
cases where children did not breastfeed because I have many fewer such cases
for the study. If any of you have contact with women who might be interested
participating in this study please ask them to contact me
([log in to unmask]) and I will send them an information letter about the
study and they can decide if they want to be involved- participation just
involves completing a questionnaire about their experiences. The study aims
to assist women who wish to breastfeed their non-newborn adopted child.
Thank you all for your help.
