Heather says that breastmilk turns to water at:
Or it might be 6 mths, of course, or 9 mths....it really depends on
the 'good authority' you consult to get your 'information'. They just
can't seem to agree.

I just wanted to add that when it turns to water it is always a multiple
of 3. 6, 9, 12, 15 months -- whatever. That's when it stops producing
milk, and starts producing water. I would prefer, of course, that it was sweet
tea, but that is neither here nor there.
It is sort of like every radiologist that says you have to pump and dump
for XXX (always a multiple of 12) hours.... 24, 36, 48, 72.
Boy there is something magical about those numbers, isn't there?
Decided the other day that the reason babies have to nurse at least 8
times in 24 hours is because it conveniently works out to every 3 hours. Just
like 6x/24 hours is every 4 hours. What on earth will we do if someone
decides we really need to be breastfeeding our babies 9 times in 24 hours?
That doesn't work out to a comfortable number.
