For the last 20 years I have seen intermittent babies with blood
streaked stools from sensitivity to antigens in mom's milk. No one has
ever needed a transfusion!! How about proving anemia first? If the baby
is becoming anemic, the problem is due to something else. Also, how
about iron supplementation before a transfusion?
Again, I think there is overreacting going on.
