I am struggling with why it is necessary to sterilize infant equipment like bottles and nipples before first use and then acceptable to put a clean not sterile glove in the baby's mouth. Mind you, this is something I do, but I don't know what could have gotten on the bottles in the factory that we can't wash off with soap and hot water before using them that would be worse than what gets on non-sterile gloves in the factory, which we don't even clean before popping them into a newborn's mouth.
