Hi Lactnet-ers,
I have a question for those using electronic medical records in medical settings (hospitals, doctors offices, etc).
Our Family Practice and Pediatrics providers are looking to incorporate more breastfeeding support into our practice, and to do that it's been requested that we create sample guidelines for a medical visit that would cover some of the most common breastfeeding problems (ie - an example of how medical providers should deal with painful latch: what questions to ask, what to look for, suggestions to make, who to refer the mother to for additional support, how to document it in our charts) that could be pulled up when patients had these questions.
Has anyone come across anything like this that has been created before? And recommendations of resources that you all use?
