Hi All,

I had the pleasure of attending a Sudden Unexpected Infant Death
conference nearly two years ago in Bronx, NY.
There is a big movement to make sleep safe but they are incomplete in
their data and thinking.
They were so thrilled to have a grant to give parents portable cribs.
None of the data presented had the feeding methods of the babies.
They were adamant that co-bedding is never safe.
My statement to them was " We know abstinence only sex education
doesn't work so we teach safe sex, why not teach safe co-bedding?"

I am cautiously excited to say that one of my children has a camp
friend from the Bronx whose mother is a physician working for the
city. Their family breastfed and co-bedded and she liked my analogy. I
planted a seed - agin. Maybe this one will take!
