Getting very off topic here...but
I agree, inconsistency is a problem and while customs may be an issue
immigration is even worse. Last trip to the UK (for the LCGB conference) I
was pretty tired after my 24 hr flight and discovered that I had in fact
arrived a day later than I expected (that darn date line!)- had no idea
where I was staying (someone was going to meet me) and was a bit
stroppy...lucky I didn't end up being kicked out of the country! Last OS
trip was just a few weeks ago with the whole family to the Philippines-
immigration guy took one look at us and out passports and went to check with
a superior- wasn't sure what to do with this unusual looking family. Mind
you, I too had a load of supplements and drugs with us and had no difficulty
coming and going despite having similarly close scrutiny as Heather
describes leaving the Philippines, the drugs were not an issue. I have
brought Domperidone purchased in China into Australia with no probs but
would suggest that in the checked luggage is likely to be less of an issue
than in hand luggage.

PS. 16yo son came home a week earlier than the rest of us from the
Philippines...accompanied by a 50cm tall wooden carving of a woman
breastfeeding- which he of course, had to declare for inspection at customs
on arrival in Australia- wish I'd been a fly on the wall!

Meds inc galactogogues may well be regarded with suspicion. This
mother will probably need to have these on display in a see-through
plastic bag, and nothing over 100 mls will be permitted in hand
luggage. I would suggest a doctor's letter with this stuff, inc
anything under 100 mls.
OTOH, on another day, she could sail through security with no one
querying anything at all.
