I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who offered words of
encouragement to me today, both to my email and here on the list. I
have tried to respond to everyone personally but I'm afraid I have
missed some and wanted to make sure you all know how much I appreciate
the time you took to write to me.
I also feel Sharon Knorr's post hits the whole issue dead center. i
wish I could express it like she did! There is an expectation of
"selfless service" in the military. The fine line I've had to walk
has been in asking for only what I know can be extended to me without
the mission I work toward being compromised. Sometimes it's been a
easy sell and other times, for reasons far too complicated to go into
here, it's been a nightmare. I haven't always gotten what I asked
for. I haven't always been super warm and loving toward my children,
either, unfortunately.
Again, my most heartfelt and sincere thanks to all of you who took the
time to respond to me this weekend. It means a lot!
