Sarah,

Yes I have nursed a child immediately after a tooth extraction. My daughter was
2 and having some cavities repaired (some just are more prone to it is my take
on it, but no fun whatever the cause), and she had an extra tooth (it looked
like a fang). The dentist just removed it during the procedure. It was just 1
tooth, but she had no bleeding, no problems with nursing, just took her a little
bit to nurse like normal as her mouth was numb, then sore and swollen. We did
choose to have her sedated for the procedure and I was able to be with her very
quickly after she woke up. At first she would just hold the nipple in her mouth
or just take a couple of sucks, but we were past that within a couple of hours.
She healed very quickly.
