Jeanette - Please remember that as a LLL Leader, you have "in-house" support by way of your Professional Liaison. Whilst the information that you receive here will help, it's important that you utilize the appropriate resources within your organization to be sure that information that you provide to this mother is in line with LLL philosophy. Your suggestions of having someone else nurse the baby or having her nurse someone else's baby are not in line with LLLs policy and your professional liaison can assist you with information that is appropriate to share with this mother. As a LLL you have some limitations over what an LC might be able to recommend. While the responses on this list will no doubt be accurate, they may not be within the scope of what you can share with the mother in your role as a volunteer breastfeeding counsellor. I am sure that you'll be able to get the information you need to support this mother from LLL sources.
