Wise ones,
I have searched the archives/google/pubmed, etc and cannot seem to find what I
am looking for... I am searching for info on relaxin levels in breastfeeding
mothers. I keep finding various anecdotes, but nothing substantial. Do
breastfeeding mothers have significant levels of relaxin several months or more
after giving birth? Is there any research about the effects of breastfeeding on
hypermobility or joint issues? I keep finding comments mentioning relaxin
production during breastfeeding as a source of hypermobility and pain, but I
can't find a single reference for this statement. It seems that some physical
therapists and chiropractors say that breastfeeding contributes to
hypermobility/joint pain, but where are they getting that info????
Thanks!
