That Vit D level is breathtakingly low, and 2000 IU daily is barely
going to touch it. I don't know if it is the cause of the fractures,
but getting a second opinion may be helpful. Lately I'm seeing even
more hands-off docs prescribing 50,000 IU per week to get it up to
safe levels. 15 is barely better than rickets, which sure could
affect bone strength.
Personally, I was a 35 three months ago and 4500 IU per day has only
gotten me to 41.
