This research paper is the only one I've seen that even addresses the issue and does not give enough information to persuade people to do them.

I'm introducing another question to this string to those of you who are Hospital LC's. Who do you train to do the alternative feeds? Just RN's or are the CNA's allowed to do alternative feeds? My manager wants to know before we have a skills day for our CNA's.
