Loes,
I'm concerned about mom trying a vegan diet. This might be really high in
soy, which is problematic for babies with dairy sensitivities, and it might
also be a wheat overload if she likes those fake meat products.
(My personal experience as the mom of 2 multi-allergic kiddos, and those of
the moms I've helped, is that a week eating a very limited diet will quickly
show whether food is the problem. Martha Sears' Caveman Diet is turkey or
lamb, rice or millet, squash, and pears. Yep, a really short list, and
nothing I offer to moms on a whim, but when they are going round and round
with a doc who may not be bf-friendly and they are at their wit's end and
Just Need to Know, this can do the trick.)
