While such products may indeed have beneficial qualities they will be unacceptable for anyone who follows a kosher diet. Krill are shellfish, very low on the food chain.
There is also a legitimate concern that over-harvesting of krill for industrial use will pull the rug out from under a lot of other forms of marine life, notably seals and whales. I would want to know something about the ethical profile of the manufacturer before I jumped on this bandwagon, and I was skeptical when I saw that one prominent brand uses krill oil harvested by Aker Biomarine, because the head of this company is known more for his entrepreneurial skills rather than his concern for the future of the planet. Would hate to think I had given some marine species its death blow in my haste to get enough omega-3.
In my cursory reading of two Wikipedia articles (krill and krill oil) I did not find anything to suggest that krill oil contains Vitamin D.
