Good for you, Maria! Well done!
Always very, very tricky to be involved in dubious projects...
Even if you would say you disagree with everything, they would have the
possibility of saying: "Checked by...", "Thanks to ... for her advice
on...".
Fascinating tactics, right...? :-(
I'm almost done with 'The Politics of Breastfeeding' and I was shocked to
read about so many awful strategies. It's even worse than you can think of.
I saw the posting about Dawn Kersula and I think there are many among us
that rock; Gabrielle Palmer is certainly one of them, imo! ;o)
Warmly,
Marianne Vanderveen IBCLC, Netherlands (and sad that the BFHI-body not only
has posters with Medela on it, but also with Avent... how to give warnings
to certifying institutions about the WHO-code when you allow the appearance
of violators on your own posters that hang in well-baby clinics...? :-((
...)

Subject: [LACTNET] Gerber
Just got a call from Gerber (ie Nestle) located in a nearby town. She said
they saw my website and liked my backround and wondered if I would review
some of their breastfeeding materials for them. She went on to explain
their "program" and it's use of what she called breastfeeding educators
available 24/7 by phone.. Of course, I said no but not without giving her
an earfull of reasons.(a phone call I am sure she regreted!) So heads up to
any other consultants in my area of NJ....they may be calling you next!
