Hi all ~
Some of you may be aware of a new workplace lactation toolkit sponsored by
the organization, Corporate Voices for Working Families (
http://www.cvworkingfamilies.org/lactation). I'd just like to point out that
at least one of the organization's partners - listed as both a Corporate and
a Funding partner - is a major manufacturer of artificial infant milks (
http://www.cvworkingfamilies.org/our-partners). In addition, if you read the
last line of the press release, you will learn that this partner provided
"generous support" for the workplace lactation toolkit (
http://www.cvworkingfamilies.org/news-events/press-releases/corporate-voices-launches-workplace-lactation-toolkit-help-employers-supp).
No mention is made of the International Code or that this partner is in
violation of that Code, nor is any mention made of a conflict of interest
for providing "generous support" when having conflicting responsibilities to
shareholders.
Wanted all serving breastfeeding families to be fully informed...
