In our hospital, we use Sweetease for procedures such as circumcision and
blood draws. We do not use it to latch babies onto breast. For that, we use
expert latch help, and occasional, expressed colostrum or 5% Dextrose in
water dripped over the breast, but even that use of D5W is limited in my
practice.
