Look what she says about lactation consultants in her book under the heading: If I have trouble breastfeeding, whom should I turn to for help? after talking about the relationship they already have with OB, midwife, doula and pediatrician... she suggests calling in the experts.. the lactation consultant. "Certified lactation consultants (IBCLC's) are individuals who are specifically trained and certified to handle breastfeeding challenges and can be the difference between breastfeeding failure and success. There are other professionals who a breastfeeding educators, but we prefer certified IBCLC's because they go through a formal training and certification process. Ask your practitioner for a recommendation."
Cool, huh!
