I too worked with a mom who dealt with a bleb for several weeks.  She tried everything, saw her mw, nothing helped.  After seeing a few references to grapefruit seed extract, tried that and it was gone very quickly.   Used suggestions from kellymom site.  She didn't feel it was a coincidence.  She did then develop yeast, so perhaps there was some underlying yeast, that cleared with gentian violet.  permission to share with those who may benefit from her experience.
