I'm looking for anyone that works for WIC as an IBCLC but doesn't have a
background in nursing or nutrition. I passed the exam last year. Prior I
was a breastfeeding peer counselor for WIC. I have recently been told I can
not work for WIC as an IBCLC. Our state WIC coordinator states it is due to
liability reasons. If I were a dietitian or nurse it would not be a
problem. Is this the case nation wide? If you work for WIC as an IBLCL I'd
love to talk with you. You can email me privately. Thanks.
