Perhaps I'm just being blond (actually reasonbly greying), but if one could freeze-dry a given amount of mom's milk and mix the powder with a same amount of fresh milk, wouldn't that just double the protein level, as well as that of all other solid particles?

Peter Hartmann and his research group have been trying for years to get a product we can use in the NICU.  The problem is that human milk is (naturally) so low in protein it takes huge volumes of donor milk to get a very small amount of human milk protein.
