Dear Friends:
Prolacta is doing wonderful things. NICUs using its products are
seeing improved health of infants.
Prolacta has put a price on human milk. In our capitalistic culture, free
things are worthless. The price Prolacta charges pays for all the intensive
testing and processing. The human milk they receive is tested for 5 drugs of
abuse, in addition to all the other screenings. They are promoting and
supporting research into the value of their products to premature infants.
The high price on their human milk products is a way to help our society
appreciate its value.
The mothers who donate to Prolacta know what they are doing and are choosing
to donate.
It bothers me that folks are down on this important company. Nobody knocks
blood banks for charging so much for their essential products; what is the
difference? Blood donors aren't paid either, at least not in the USA.
Their research into liquid human milk fortifier is awesome. Powdered HMF is
powdered formula which negates the healing properties of human milk and sets
babies up for milk curd obstruction and NEC and allegies. Now there is a
safe and healthy way to fortify human milk.
Check out their website and find out for yourself, www.prolacta.com
Human milk for human babies of all ages!!
warmly,
