I had not heard of this guru until a few weelks ago, and I googled her.

This story would be enough to make me raise a very quizzical eyebrow:

http://www.eparenting.co.uk/pandb/triplets_sleep_through_the_night_at_nine_weeks.shtml

This guru's website uses the name of our organisation as a form of
endorsement, and steps are being taken to prevent this.

You can read more about her by googling her name - she has a website,
I'd do a link but I am on a train with a slow internet connection.
Her name is Alison Scott-Wright. I am not aware of any professional
qualifications or supervisor.

As ever, the role of this sort of external advisor is to *distance*
mothers and babies. It makes sense for nannies and foster carers and
others to put measure in place to prevent 'too much attachment' -
this is protective of the nanny/carer (though not for the baby, of
course). It makes no sense for mothers.

This particular guru has a bee in her bonnet about reflux.

It is disturbing to see her recommend strategies which are unsafe.
