Hi Everyone!

For those who know me, I have been in the world of private and corporate
lactation for many years. Now I am attempting to tackle the world of
hospital lactation--specifically in a public hospital. It has been an
exciting venture so far. Right now, I am looking at how the hospital is
currently billing for lactation services, and seeing if a better system
could be put in place. Those of you who feel like your system is definitely
doing well, I would appreciate a private email. We have no idea where
health reform will take us, but for now, I would like to know what works
best. In addition, I am looking to increase products in the lactation
center, and I keep getting resistance from above--telling me that I cannot
carry boppys or nursing stools because they are "not medical equipment". I
know that I have seen fabulous lactation centers in public hospitals, so I
am trying to understand where that is coming from. Thank you to anyone who
responds in advance.

Debbie Albert, Ph.D., RN, IBCLC
