Hi Maeve!

I would like to point out that many cultures do not include the breasts  as part of sexual pleasure. In fact, according to some of Katherine Detwyller's research most cultures who do so are first world. Her conclusion is that this is a culturally learned phenomenon. You can probably learn more about this on her website. http://www.kathydettwyler.org/dettwyler.html

Subject: breast massage question

A colleague asked me to post this question from another listserv...any of you wise women able to contribute ideas?
A student asked today if touching and massaging a female partner's breasts had any documented health benefits beyond sexual pleasure, like decreasing risk for breast cancer, encouraging better breast feeding someday (even for those not currently lactating or pregnant), etc. Have you seen research on this, or would you like to speculate? I would guess that bringing more blood into any tissue encourages better health for that tissue, right?
