"She wants to know if she should expect
her symptoms to worsen if she was to wean him fully.'

Many mothers experience menopause-like symptoms while breastfeeding, such as
hot flushes, reduced libido, vaginal dryness ... It is my understanding
that breastfeeding women have reduced oestrogen levels and this is what
causes those symptoms. It seems unlikely that her oestrogen levels will get
lower due to weaning and more likely they'll actually increase. I suppose
it will be an entirely individual thing. Her symptoms may get worse - but
this may be unrelated to weaning and related only to the passage of time -
or not.
