Sadly, another doctor far too ignorant to be allowed to practice
unsupervised by a monitor of some sort. We all have some gaps in our
knowledge base. One should not be able to drive a large truck through that
gap, however.

Subject: interrupting breastfeeding for septic workup
Had a mom told to interrupt breastfeeding because she was prescribed the
antibiotic
"Augmentin" and the attending couldn't take the chance that the
.3mg/day the baby could ingest would affect the outcome.
I would like to hear what other MD's do in this situation.
Thanks, Chris
