Regarding the mom w/ leakage from a previous piercing, I thought of Lily
Padz. No personal experience, but I've heard some moms rave about them.
They're a silicone shell which actually sticks to the breast and provides
some direct pressure which can prevent leakage.

"LilyPadzR are a patented, innovative nursing pad made of a skin-like layer
of silicone. The unique design of LilyPadzR maintains pressure on the nipple
while in place and forms a non-absorbent barrier that actually PREVENTS
breast milk leakage. No more inconvenient pad exchanges, and both you and
your clothes stay dry!"
I have no connections with the company, and as I said have never tried the
product, but it might be worth a look.
Spencer (MD & LLLL), enjoying a long weekend with my munchkins after my
first week of work after maternity!
