Subject: abcess or mastitis or somehting else?
Can I post for myself here? i have no idea what's going on. for about eight months, i have had these two black an blue marks on the outside of the breast. i thought maybe it was a hematoma, that the baby nursed on the breast tissue at night, but it's never gone away. sometimes it looks like a zit and oozed thin pus, sometimes blood. but it came and went - the pus. now it's gotten hard and doesn't ooze. today, it felt like i had a blocked duct below the nipple - not anywhere near this bruise thingy - and when i tried to squeeze the nipple to get it out, there was some pus and a drop of blood. Now it's so painful and feels like mastitis. but 'til it hurt this afternoon, it hadn't hurt at all. I showed it to another lc, but she isn't sure either. we are treating for mastitis in the meantime.
Hope i'm clear enough. it's had to describe this and i don't feel good!
Thanks for any insight!
