Dear friends,
I respectfully disagree with you here, Henya. What you write down here (about sex and age and marriage) is not a scientific fact, but a cultural or religious believe. For me, I'm fine with everyones beliefs, but please do not bring that as an universal fact. Having sex at any age with anyone in mutual respect and consent is in no way medically or biologically bad or dangerous. It is the believe that sex at any given age or with any given person is bad is what might be harmful in a emotional or psychological way for a person living in a culture where those beliefs hold true.
Sex is, as eating, digesting and breastfeeding (to stay on the topic of this list) a normal bodily function that can be exercised whenever the organs and hormones involved are ready to do so.

Warmly,

Gonneke, IBCLC, retired LLLL, MOM of 5 who all got throught the wonder years quite well by now, in southern Netherlands

Well pardon me for my backward attitude, but it seems to me that the more
kids are taught about sex the more kid pregnancies there seem to be. What
about the message "Sex is not for kids". Because sorry it is not. I think
that there is such a sing as a statutory rape. A 9 or a 12 or a 15 year old
can not consent freely to sex, even if it is with the same age partner.
Simply because they are not able to see the consequences of they're actions
clearly.
