I need some ideas for a mother of a 10 month old--second baby. Tandem
nursing with 2.5 yr. old who breastfeeds once or twice every few days. Baby
has two bottom teeth (very sharp). He's not really biting but rests his teeth
on the nipple causing cracks. Mother has tried stopping the nursing when
he does this or pulling him in closer to no avail. She's afraid if she stops
the feeding every time he is rubbing or resting teeth on the nipple he
will develop an aversion to nursing. He may be heading in that direction. Any
ideas? Please send answers to me privately as well as to the list. It's
kind of late notice but I'd love to be able to share some ideas with her in
Support Group tomorrow.
Thanks.
