positively purchase Linda Smith's "The Lactation Consultant in Private
Practice: The ABCs of Getting Started." Get it, read it and *then* see if
you have any more questions. It is just that good. There are chapters from
about a dozen of the leaders and mentors in private practice; there are
international perspectives; there are facts and practice tips. It is THE
one comprehensive resource on this subject matter. Disclaimer: I wrote the
chapter on legal stuff, but my one-time modest check for that effort was
spent YEARS ago.
