There are people in each and every calling in life who "don't follow the
rules," so it shouldn't surprise us, I suppose, that some people trained in
lactation management have odd bed-fellows.

But unless these folks belong to a profession where there is a license that
can be yanked (for failure to follow the rules) or a certification that can
be yanked (for failure to follow the rules) there is not a whole heckuva lot
we can do but shake our heads.

IBCLCs must adhere to the IBLCE Code of Ethics, which tells us we must
support the WHO Code. Do any of these other titles, conferred after a short
(or even long) course of classwork/clinical work, carry the same ethical
responsiblities of the IBCLC profession?
