I have truly enjoyed this discussion and all the different directions it has taken us!

When I arrived in Puerto Rico, it was hard to convince moms OR doctors that tongue tie could be a problem - doctors would quote "studies" to me. At the time, we didn't have many of our own - but the tactic I took was to refer them to Dr. Brian Palmer's information ... and then explain that most of the studies they were showing me were written by ENGLISH speaking people - both physicians and speech therapists. I explained that whether your tongue was tied or not, you could speak English rather correctly - but SPANISH requires a more free tongue.

This worked very well - and eventually led to my having a great relationship with a nearby ENT.
