We currently use the pink tubs provided by the hospital to store our containers of milk in our NICU freezers. I have been asking for years to get better, safer storage containers and we may actually buy some soon. Does anyone have a really good system/container to store each patient's milk? Should the containers have tops to keep each patient's milk contained, do you need air to circulate freely (one of the nurses is worried that we will have freezer burn if the air isn't freely circulating)? We use the 2 and 4 ounce Capitol Vials for collection so we are looking for something that would hold a fair number of these containers. They need to be sturdy, reusable, and able to be easily cleaned. What is everyone using?
Thanks,
