Well, no research here, but refraising the first 2 questions:
1. Benefits of extended breastfeeding past one year; should ofcourse read: ''the hazards of premature weaning''
2. Benefits of using donor bm vs. formula should ofcourse read ''the risks of the use of non-human milk for human infants''
A neonatologist as a scientist should be the first to know that scientific research should start with defining the norm or point zero and to weight all possible alternatives to that.

Warmly,

Gonneke, IBCLC, MOM in southern Netherlands

Hello from LA.
My name is Mina and I work for two major hospitals in LA. both NICU and post-partum.
One of our very good neonatologist who had bad personal experience
with breastfeeding asked me give her latest research on these matters:
1. Benefits of extended breastfeeding past one year
2. Benefits of using donor bm vs. formula
3. How breastfeeding helps infants against colds/flu
It would be very beneficial for my hospital since we are trying to become
Baby friendly that we have her on our side. Any resent research would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you ladies.
